1. All entries will be under the control of the superintendent and every possible effort will be taken to prevent damage or loss, but in no event will the Bethany Fair, Inc. be responsible for damage or loss that might occur.
2. All persons intending to exhibits are required to make their entries on Wednesday August 27, 2008 between the hours of 12:00 noon and 5:30pm only. Entries must be left in place until 3:00pm Monday September 3rd and must be picked up before 4:30pm as building will close at that time.
3. All entries must be entered and picked up in person, not by mail.
4. Section superintendents will be instructed to discourage successive annual entries in all classes.
5. Judges will be instructed to discourage successive annual winners in all classes.
6. Where there us only one entry in a class articles will be awarded 1st, 2nd or no premium according to merit.
7. Premium will be paid according to the class exhibitor places it in. We will not change classification once piece is entered.
8. Persons who wish to pick their entries free of charge the last day of the fair after 3:00pm may obtain a complimentary pass valid only after that time. Please bring all entry receipts to superintendent on August 27, 2008, this day only, to obtain a pass.
9. Liberal arts building will be open to the public each day. Hours on Thursday and Friday are 12:00pm to 8:00pm, hours on Saturday are 10:00am to 8:00pm, hours on Sunday are 12:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday the hours are 10:00am to 3:00pm.
10. Please read individual section rules, if any, as they will be enforced by division superintendents.
11. Third place (ribbons only) will be given at the discretion of division superintendent.

NOTICE:
1. Entry hours are 12:00 noon to 5:30pm Wednesday, August 27, 2008.
2. Judging building will be closed on Thursday, August 28, 2008 until noon for judging.
3. Release of Entries - Entries must be picked up Monday, September 1, 2008 between 3pm and 4:30pm or be forfeited.

Rules for Exhibitors:
1. All entries open to public and all amateur gardeners.
2. Entries will be received from 12:00 noon am until 5:00pm Wednesday, August 27, 2008 and must remain in place until the end of the show.
3. Exhibits must have been grown by the exhibitor and only one entry in each sub-class of the class. Material used in the artistic division classes need not to have been grown by the exhibitor, but the entry must be the work of the exhibitor.
4. Horticulture specimens must have been grown by the exhibitor or to have been in possession for at least three months.
5. Nationally accredited judges will judge the show according to this schedule and the National Council Handbook. All decisions of the judges will be final.
6. The Superintendent shall have the right to remove from the building any exhibit which is unsightly.
7. While exhibits will be carefully watched, the committee will not be responsible for any loss or damage to exhibits or personal property.
