Northwest Missouri State Fair

Department D
FFA - Farm Mechanics

Regulations:

1. Articles exhibited are required to have been constructed by FFA members either as a part of their farm mechanics instruction in vocational agriculture, or as part of their supervised farming programs.
2. Entries will be judged on the basis of workmanship, finish, design, strength, usefulness and suitability.
3. An article can be shown only once at the Northwest Missouri State Fair, but does not have to be constructed during the year of the Northwest Missouri State Fair.
4. All articles must be painted or properly treated in case of feeders. All articles must be clean and in a presentable condition, even though they have been used.
5. Each exhibitor is limited to two entries of the same project. However, there is no limit to the number of entries from a chapter.
6. The points assigned to projects are based upon the amount and difficulty of the work involved, difficulty and cost of moving, and the cost of materials. The points given are for average projects of the kinds listed. The Judge and Superintendent may adjust the points up or down within a range of 50 percent when a project is unusual in size or difficulty and it appears necessary in order to keep the points in balance.
