LIBERAL ARTS

REGULATIONS

1. All entries will be under the control of the superintendents and every possible effort will be taken to prevent damage or loss, but in no event will the Bethany Fair, Inc. be responsible for damage or loss that might occur.

2. All persons intending to exhibit are required to make their entries on Tuesday., August 31, between the hours of 12 noon and 5:30 p.m. only. Entries must be left in place until 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6 and must be picked up before 4:30 p.m. as building will close at that time.

3. All entries must be entered and picked up in person, not by mail.

4. Section superintendents will be instructed to discourage successive annual entries in all classes.

5. Judges will be instructed to discourage successive annual winners in all classes.

6. Where there is only one entry in a class, articles will be awarded 1st, 2nd, or no premium, according to merit.

7. Premium will be paid according to class exhibitor places it in. We will not change classification once piece is entered.

8. Liberal arts building will be open to the public each day. Hours Wednesday through Sunday are 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Monday, 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.

9. Please read individual section rules, if any, as they will be enforced by division superintendents.

10. Third place (ribbons only) will be given at the discretion of division superintendents.

2. Release of Entries - Entries must be picked up Monday, Sept. 6 between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. or be forfeited.

FLORICULTURE

Rules for Exhibitors

1. All entries open to public and/or other clubs.

2. Entries will be received from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31 and must remain in place until the end of the show. Items to be removed on Sept. 6th between 3:00 p.m. & 4:30 p.m.

3. Exhibitor may make one entry per class and must be grown by the exhibitor, accessories acceptable.

4. Container-grown plants must have been in exhibitor possession at least 90 days, except for multiple plantings, which must have been in exhibitors possession at least 6 weeks.

5. No artificial flowers accepted.

6. All specimens must be named, when these are not already in the schedule. Cut specimens should not have any foliage below water line.

7. Potted plants may be 1 qt. to 1 gal. size.

8. Nationally accredited judges will judge the show according to the standard system, awarding only 1 blue, red and white ribbon per class. Decision of judges will be final. Scale of points for Horticulture (in HB 273) N/A.

9. Superintendent shall have the right to remove any exhibit which is unsightly.

10. While exhibits will be carefully watched, the committee will not be responsible for any loss or damage to exhibits or personal property.
