Fair Queen 2002

For the first time in it's 86 year history the NWMO State Fair had a fair Queen. Rachelle Lacy from Eagleville.
Rachelle is the daughter of Richard and Susie Lacy. She is currently a freshman at NWMO State University and graduated from North Harrison HS in 2002.

There are rides for "kids" of all ages.

The super slide is fun.

Local Farm Implement Companies always have a lot displays around the livestock barns. The reflector on the rake (middle picture) sure does it's job when the flash of camera goes off at dusk.

Here a log sculptor comes all the way from Minnesota to setup and sell his wares.

Come out and bring the entire family. You'll be glad you did.

Someone is really smoking down at the far end of the track.

FOGHAT was the main attraction Saturday night of the fair.

The opening act, Station 803 got things kicked off right!

Paranoyd

Paranoyd followed next and made their third appearance in row at the Northwest Missouri State Fair.
Foghat, clowning around as they entered. You knew then it was going to be a good show!

They kept up the good times as the show went along too. Before they ended with a great version of the all-time classic "Slow Ride"

Bryan Bassett

Bryan Bassett played lead guitar. A former member of Molly Hatchet ... Molly Hatchet was the main attraction at the 2000 NWMO State Fair.

Charlie Huhn

Charlie Huhn played rhythm and sang lead vocals. Not a bad lead guitarist either. Charlie spent a few years with Ted Nugent..

Roger Earl

Roger Earl played drums and is an original member of Foghat. A true living legend. He and Tony (at right) have inspired many musicians.

Tony Stevens

Tony Stevens another living legend is an original member. He along with Roger (at left) left Savoy Brown along with "Lonesome" Dave Peverett and formed Foghat in 1971.

Lonesome Dave died in Feb. of 2002 after a battle with cancer.
Rod Price, the last of the four founding members of Foghat left to pursue solo interest and Bryan was picked by him as a replacement.
Foghat was formed in England in 1971 and have a soon to be released album in the works. http://www.foghat.net to stay with the band.
They were a nice group of guys who stayed after the show and signed autographs for everyone that lined up.
